How we handle your photos
What your photos are used for
Only to understand the work you asked about, so the electrician can call you better prepared and bring the right materials.
Automated image analysis
- After you submit, your photos are looked at by automated image-analysis software. It tries to note things like the type of panel, a label it can read, or the kind of fixture in the room.
- Those notes go only to the electrician. They are rough, may be wrong, and are never used to give you an automatic price, diagnosis, or safety or code opinion.
- An electrician reviews every request. Nothing is decided by software.
- The analysis is performed by a third-party AI provider: Anthropic (Claude). Your photos, your description and any measurement you gave are sent to that provider for this purpose only. Your name, phone number, email and address are not sent.
- Your photos are not used to train AI models: not by us and, under the provider’s commercial terms, not by them. We would ask for your separate, explicit permission before ever using a photo for anything else.
Storage and security
- Photos are uploaded over an encrypted connection to private storage. They have no public web address and cannot be found by search engines.
- We remove location and camera data (EXIF) from every photo before storing it.
- Only Inspired Electric staff signed in to our dashboard can view them, and access is logged.
How long we keep them
- If you don’t become a customer, your photos are automatically deleted 60 days after you send them.
- If we do the work, photos may be kept with the job record.
- If you start a request but never send it, anything you uploaded is deleted within 24 hours.
- You can ask us to delete your photos at any time: InspiredElectricVT@gmail.com or (802) 355-9009.
Taking photos safely
Please don’t remove covers, open sealed equipment or touch wiring to get a photo. Opening the hinged door of your electrical panel is fine. If something is hot, sparking or smells like burning, stop and call us.
